V.E.D "Road tax"

Vehicle tax rates are based on engine size, or fuel type and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, depending on when the vehicle was registered.

• V.E.D (Vehicle Excise Duty) often referred to as road tax, must be paid on any vehicle registered in the UK if it is to be driven or kept on a public road. VED can range from approx £30-1000 depending on the car's age and its environmental impact.
